Study on Improvement Plan for ¡®Support System for Employers who Employ the Industrial Accident Disabled Person¡¯

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the pending issues of the 'Support system for employers who employ the Industrial accident disabled person' and seek ways to improve it. The employment support system for workers with industrial accidents refers to the benefits and subsidies provided to the employer when workers injured return to their original positions after medical treatment; including return to work subsidy, work adaptation training fee/rehabilitation exercise cost, and subsidy for alternative manpower. However, if we look at the current status of support of the system by year, it is not showing any remarkable results except for the subsidy for alternative manpower, and the reality is that both the number of business owners receiving the subsidy and subsidy are decreasing. To solve this problem, an FGI (Focus Group Interview) was conducted for the job coordinator (case manager) in charge of work related to the industrial accident in the Korea Labor Welfare Corporation, and a survey was conducted for the business owners. Based on the analysis, the necessity of improving the promotion method of this system and the important role of the job coordinator were identified, and based on this, the necessity of selecting job coordinators and improving their work environment was proposed together.
